Only a few weeks have passed since Microsoft announced Windows Phone 8 OS for the upcoming windows phones and the existing handsets will be upgraded to Windows Phone 7.8 OS in the near future. A few days ago, the Windows Phone Refresh a.k.a Tango update started rolling out globally for the Nokia Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 windows phones. If you’ve got the two years old Dell Venue Pro handset, you can also play with the Tango update. So far, we are hearing about the reports Tango update is now rolling out for the Venue Pro in Germany, but sadly, not in the U.S.
The latest firmware update bumps the OS version up to 7.10.8773.98. Here’s the full changelog of the Windows Phone Tango 8773 update.
# Addition of the new messaging capabilities to your phone. You can now attach multiple pictures, videos, audio notes, and ringtones to text messages.
# Addition of the features related to SIM card contacts. You can now export phone contacts to a SIM card and selectively import SIM card contacts to your phone.
# Addition of the new “Nature” theme wallpapers.
# Faster numeric PIN response.
# Users can now attach and send ringtones to others via MMS. You can also send voice note and attach multiple images in an MMS to your friends.
# The new Tango update also brings better notifications, Tile and Toast.

To download the Windows Phone Tango update, the Dell Venue Pro users are required to connect your devices to a PC while running the Zune software, or Mac with the WP7 Connector software and follow the on-screen instructions.

I recently imported a brand new Dell Venue Pro from USA (AT&T Unlocked). It’s software version is 7720 and shows software up to date when I try to update via Zune. I have tried the trick of disconnecting internet connection after 3 seconds but, nothing worked for me.
