AT&T-branded Sony Xperia Ion users have been patiently waiting for the Android ICS version. Well it is now here. This long-awaited update brings a series of new features including faster Mobile Hotspot and Wi-Fi speeds, an enhanced browser, offline reading mode, Face Unlock etc.
Just two weeks earlier the ICS update for Xperia Ion was made available. But the update did not reach the AT&T-branded Xperia Ion. Well finally the wait is over now.
In addition to all the features mentioned above, several calendar and e-mail status indication enhancements were also made to help users stay organized, while passcode security enhancements for unlocking Exchange Active Sync will enhance security. Other improvements can be noticed while watching a YouTube video when rotating between portrait and landscape views, up-to-date and improved visuals have also been added to the street view in Maps, and when watching a YouTube clip you will also notice improved performance
.Beginning today, AT&T customers who have an Xperia ion will be able to update their phone to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
