Along with Samsung Epic 4G handset’s EL03 update, HTC EVO 4G phone’s 4.67.651.3 software update, Sprint is also rolling out an update for another HTC-made handset. Those of you having the HTC EVO Design 4G handsets, should be pleased to know that there’s an OTA software update waiting for you right now. the new firmware update bumps the software version up to 2.12.651.5. This is a minor update, bringing the same EVO 4G’s 4.67.651.3 changes, along with other specific changes such as Sprint Zone and more.

The new firmware update 2.12.651.5 should be rolling out to all the HTC EVO Design 4G devices over the next few days. The OTA update should hit your handset at any time now. If the update doesn’t hit your handset, you can try to pull the update manually by hoping over to Menu –-> Settings –> System updates –> HTC software update –> If the update found –> the update will be automatically downloaded –> Follow the on-screen instructions –> Let it do its task. After successfully finishes the upgrade process, the software version should be shown as 2.12.651.5 on your HTC EVO Design 4G handset. As the update is being rolled out in stages, when you check for the update, you may fail to see the signs of the update. So keep checking for the update as many times as you’d like in your Settings panel or wait until the update notification hits your HTC EVO Design 4G device.
