According to a new report, Taiwanese touch screen manufacturer, eTurbo Touch Technology will reportedly supply large size projected touch screen technology to Wistron Corporation which is a major original design manufacturer(ODM) in Taiwan.
eTurbo Touch is planning to further co-operate with Wistron in manufacturing large size touch screen display and a new touch screen is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
It is also further reported that the co-operation will be helpful to bring mutual benefits in their intellectual property rights including their patents and in introducing a more vertically business model for the manufacturers.
Market observers says that the cooperation between the two manufacturers will most likely be helpful to meet the huge demands of touch screen for products compatible with Windows 8.
You can note that Samsung was reportedly working on new pixel layouts for its upcoming small sized AMOLED panels in order to improve resolution. They are working on developing hexagon and diamond-shaped pixel layouts for small size devices to increase the resolution above 440ppi. The upcoming hexagon and diamond shaped pixel layout will be packed on Samsung’s purported device, Galaxy S IV which is expected to be unveiled at a Special Mobile Unpacked event in March.
