Samsung launched the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 in last year, and it is gearing up to unveil their successors, the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 very soon. The company hasn’t divulged anything about the these phones yet, but its leaked renders already revealed the smartphone’s design, thanks to the renders that leaked last month.
Some of the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34’s specs have already been teased, and now complete lists of the specs have surfaced today, giving us a clearer picture of Samsung’s 2023 affordable Galaxy A series smartphones. Both these mid-range phones barrow their design language with the costlier Galaxy S23, which launched earlier this month.
Galaxy A54
The leak confirms the Galaxy A54 comes with a 6.4-inch 1080p 120 Hz AMOLED touchscreen with an Infinity-O cutout, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, the Exynos 1380 SoC at the helm, 8GB of RAM, 128 or 256GB of expandable storage, and a 32 MP front-facing camera.
The triple rear camera setup on the A54 consists of a 50 MP main sensor with F/1.8 aperture, a 12 MP F/2.2 ultrawide, and a 5 MP macro cam. The handset will run Android 13 out of the box, with Samsung’s One UI 5.1 on top, and will launch in four colors: Lime, White, Purple and Black.
Galaxy A34
On the other side, the Galaxy A34 is built around an Infinity-U display notch for the selfie camera and sports a triple camera setup on the rear, headlined by a 48MP unit, joined by a 5MP macro unit and a depth module. It features the 6.6″ 120Hz OLED screen. It also brings big improvements over its predecessor A33 and bezels are even thinner than on the A54.
For selfies, there’s a 13MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture. On the right-side frame is the volume rocker and power button. Galaxy A34 will reportedly use an SoC called MediaTek MT6877V chipset paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage. This handset will also ship with Android 13 based One UI 5.1 out of the box.
Both phones will arrive with IP67 certification, and 5000mAh battery which has 25W charging support.
