Earlier this week, Samsung released the latest One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy A33 5G and the Galaxy A53 5G in South Korea. Today, the company has also started releasing the stable One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy A73 5G in the same regions. To recall, Samsung released the Galaxy A73 with Android 12 based One UI 4.0 back in 2022. The device was upgraded to the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in November 2022.
The One UI 5.1 update for the Galaxy A73 5G bumps up the firmware version A736BXXU2BVK2. The update is also carrying the latest February 2023 security update. Some reports are confirming the update is also rolling out in Malaysia, and we expect it to be released in other countries within the next few days.
With One UI 5.1 build, don’t expect any drastic changes to Samsung’s customized UI. You will get the same UI flavor, but you will get an improved weather widget and an improved Smart suggestions widget, and a new battery widget. Users will get upgraded AR Emoji Camera app, which allows them to assign mask emojis to the faces of up to three people.
The update also brings enhanced Gallery’s Photo Remaster AI capabilities, addition of Expert RAW inside the Camera app, custom wallpapers, ringtones, fonts, and touch-sensitivity controls to Modes and Routines, as well as a shared family album to the Gallery app. Samsung DeX now allows users to resize two Split-Screen apps simultaneously with the addition of corner window-snap support.
If you are a Galaxy A73 5G user residing in Malaysia or any Korean country, you can install the One UI 5.1 update by navigating to Settings >> Software update and tapping Download and install.
