The Samsung Galaxy S23 Series, specifically the Galaxy S23 Ultra, has leaked several times in the past few weeks and months. We’ve talked about display size and RAM+storage configurations of the S22 Ultra a few hours ago. Ahead of the rumored release, the upcoming flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra has just popped up on Geekbench confirming that it will indeed feature 12GB RAM.
Spotted by SamMobile, The device was also seen carrying the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, running with Android 13 OS. The listing for the device shows the same mix of three Cortex-X3 cores @ 2.20GHz, four Cortex-X3 cores @ 2.08GHz and one Cortex-X3 core @ 3.36 GHz, bearing the model number SM-S918B, and motherboard for this prototype is being referred as “kalama.”
The Galaxy S23 Ultra scored 1,495 points in the single-core CPU performance test and 4,647 points in the multi-core CPU performance test. That means it couldn’t manage to score higher multi-core score than other phones equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. For reference, the vivo X90 Pro+ scored 4,739 multi-core points, while the iQOO 11 Pro managed a 4,686 multi-core score on Geekbench 5 platform. Anyhow, keep in mind that the leaked benchmarks aren’t always official numbers, and you will be able to fully know how phones powered by the new chipset will perform until you get the chance to test them yourselves. These scores will likely change in the coming days and weeks, leading up to the official release.
According to previous leaks and rumors, the Galaxy S23 Ultra should have a 6.8-inch dynamic AMOLED QHD+ display with 1440 x 3088 pixels and 16.7M colors. There will be a single RAM option available for the device – 12GB RAM, and Samsung is also rumored to skip the 128GB model for the latest series, and it will instead provide 256GB as base storage, going up to 512GB, and 1TB options for the top-end S23 Ultra.
The primary camera on the device is revealed to be a 200MP sensor, paired up with a 12MP telephoto, a 12MP ultra-wide, and another 2MP sensor. On the front, it will use a 12MP selfie camera.
