Google has updated its Google Books app to version 1.1.0.2247 for iOS. The new update brings two new features along with some bug fixes, which have helped the application run faster.. The update adds the ability to read the Books while in landscape mode for the iPad users, so that you can read more content or two pages on the screen at one time. It provides a better search function that reveals all specific keywords as the user scrolls down the page.
The updated Google Books app also adds a 3D page turning effect on the iPad with iOS 4.3 version. Users now have the ability to use their Google Books username to sign into Google eBookstore by tapping “Get eBooks” from inside the app.
So with these new enhancements and bug fixes, it will compete with the Apple iBooks and Amazon’s Kindle app for sure.
