Google released a small update to the one of the most used apps – Google Maps for Android platform, adding a couple of changes to the App’s system. Google Maps has just been minor updated to version 6.3 and according to the changelog, Google Maps 6.3 brings some improvements to battery performance for users of Latitude and Location History. The new version is also carrying some unknown bug fixes.
Google Maps 6.3 lets you run Latitude in the background and there won’t a huge impact on the battery of your handset. You can also keep track of the places you’ve been visiting in the background using the Location History feature.
