Looks like Google is on fire today. A few hours ago, we’ve already reported about the updates for Google+, Google Reader and Google Docs apps. All these 3 apps have adopted some of the look-and-feel of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS style. Now, a new app is awaiting in the Android Market for you. In late May. Google has announced a new app called “Offers” along with the Google Wallet app. Offers are delivered based on location and preferences which works hand-in-hand with Google Wallet. Google has already released the Wallet app in late September. Finally, Google has now released the Google Offers app for Android platform. It took a long time for the company to announce the availability of the Google Offers app. With the help of the Offers app, users can view, purchase and redeem deals right from their Android devices. You can use the app without the NFC chip required for Google Wallet. Yes, NFC chip is not required to use this app, you can redeem it straight from the phone, so no need to worry about the lack of NFC feature on your handset. To redeem offers, you just have to tap your phone.
Google Offers app Features:
# The Google Offers app will notify you about Offers that match your interests.
# Offers can be added directly from a Google search and linked to your account. Later they will be applied to Google Wallet purchases automatically.
# Offers will be delivered to your inbox as an offer of the day. Users can also search for Offers.
# Offers app will show you the currently-featured deal that are nearest to you (based on GPS data).
# Users can put a notification alert, so that when a new offer in your area is added to the service, it will alert you.
# Users can redeem the offers at the point of purchase.
# You can purchase the selected offers with a few taps. Previously-bought offers are all stored in one place. So you can access any offer you have purchased in the past.
# You’ll be offered ads that you have to look for places offers offered by retailers, and check-in items.
# Google Offers will also be integrated with a variety of existing Google Services.
Move over to Settings –> Subscriptions and then select –> the area that you want to subscribe to other offers in other cities.
Google will keep Offers data to and use it to deliver more personal offers to users. The top right corner of the app carrying a barcode scanner in case you see a QR code that you wish to scan. This app also brings new Android Ice Cream Sandwich style with blue highlights when switching tabs. The app is now available i the U.S. only. Offers is free in the Market.
