Honor has introduced its latest additions to the midrange smartphone market with the refreshed Play series today. The new smartphones, namely the Honor Play 7T and the Play 7T Pro, have been equipped with MediaTek’s powerful Dimensity 6020 chipset, offering enhanced performance and an improved user experience. Both phones come with a 90Hz LCD display, providing a smooth and seamless visual experience. In addition, the devices feature a high-quality 50MP main camera, allowing users to capture stunning photos and videos.

The Honor Play 7T and Play 7T Pro run on the latest Magic UI 6.1 operating system, based on the Android 12 platform, further enhancing their functionality and usability. With these impressive features, the new Honor Play series is set to offer a compelling option for midrange smartphone buyers.
From an external standpoint, the Honor Play 7T bears a striking resemblance to the globally released Honor X7a. However, the technology and features of the Play 7T have been upgraded and refined to deliver a superior user experience.
The Honor Play 7T features a large 6.74-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution, which incorporates a waterdrop notch to house its 5MP front-facing camera. On the other hand, the Pro version comes with a 6.7-inch LTPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution, which incorporates a punch-hole notch for its 8MP selfie camera. Both devices sport a 50MP primary sensor on their back, accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor, enabling users to capture stunning photos with an excellent level of detail.
Moreover, the Honor Play 7T is powered by a 6,000 mAh battery, which supports 22.5W fast charging, while the 7T Pro has a smaller 4,000 mAh battery, but with a faster 40W charging speed. Additionally, both phones have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a headphone jack, making them more convenient to use.
The Honor Play 7T Pro is equipped with two cameras on the back, including a powerful 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera, while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel sensor designed to capture stunning selfies. The Honor Play 7T is available in titanium silver, blue, and black color options, with pricing starting at CNY 1,099 ($160) for the 8/128GB variant, while the 8/256GB model is listed at CNY 1,299 ($189).
