Last week, Honor started teasing the new Honor X9a 5G on its website. It is scheduled to launch on January 4th, 2023 in Malaysia. While we wait for the official launch, Honor has confirmed full specifications of the Honor X9a 5G on its Middle East based website.
This handset was supposed to be a rebranded version of the high-end Honor X40. But, we don’t think so, as it comes packed with different set of features.
The Honor X9a 5G will sport a 6.67-inch 120hz 1080p AMOLED display, a 5,000mAh battery (with 45W charging) and three rear cameras.It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 chipset, which packs in eight cores including a 2.2GHz Cortex A78 prime core, six 1.8GHz A55 A78 cores. It also comes with 8GB/12GB RAM with 128/256 GB storage, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G and 5G dual SIM support, 1080p HD video recording.
As for its camera, it has a 64-megapixel main shooter with F 1.8 aperture, a 5-megapixel ultrawide with F2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro with F 2.4 aperture. The front selfie camera will apparently be a 16-megapixel shooter.

There is no information on the price of the Honor 9a 5G handset as of now. In an additional news, the manufacturer has launched the Honor 80 GT gaming phone, and a tablet called Honor Pad V8 Pro yesterday.
