A few hours ago, we reported that official Google Wallet app has been added to support the GSM capable Galaxy Nexus handset with AT&T SIM support. But, no luck for Verizon LTE Galaxy Nexus owners. We’ve some good news for the LTE Samsung Galaxy Nexus users who are concerned with the unavailability of the Google Wallet app. Members over Droid-Life website found a way to install the Google Wallet app on LTE GNex handsets.
In our previous post, we’ve provided Android Market link for all AT&T Galaxy Nexus users. Here, we’ve got instructions for you to install Google Wallet app for Verizon LTE Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset:
You may have to clear data and defaults on browser and Market, before proceeding to perform these steps. For those that were waiting, here are the step-by-step instructions. Feel free to give it a go.
# Go to Market.android.com from handset’s browser.
# Search for Google Wallet app (should be placed at 3rd result).
# Select Google Wallet app now.
# Be sure to select “Browser” instead of “Market”. Don’t leave the browser.
# Hit on “Install” option and now you will be required to log into your Google account.
# Your “Device Compatibility List” will be loaded.
# You won’t see the option to install because LTE Galaxy Nexus is not supported with app.
# Now, hit “Back” button and select “Market” this time.
# Now the Android Market’s Google Wallet page should pop up with an option to install even the VZW GNex handset isn’t compatible.
# Done. Google Wallet for LTE Galaxy Nexus is ready now.
