Just a while ago, we’ve reported about the WiMAX bands equipped HTC Kindom’s FCC entry. It looks like, HTC Chacha handset has also passed the FCC tests in the U.S. bearing the AT&T 850/1900 3G bands with model name PH06130. We already knew that AT&T is set to release the HTC Chacha this year. Now all we want is an official announcement of HTC Chacha regarding the release date and price. Now that it has passed the FCC, AT&T could be announcing that the HTC Chacha will be arriving any time from now. The HTC Chacha will be heading to O2 UK this month, along with HTC Sensation, and HTC Salsa.
You might be aware that HTC has recently upgraded the processor of HTC Chacha to 800MHz from 600MHz. HTC Chacha is Facebook-centric phone, having a dedicated Facebook button which will alert the user when there is an opportunity to share content or updates through Facebook.
HTC Chacha has also got a QWERTY keyboard, 2.6-inch landscape touchscreen with 480 x 320 resolution of pixel, dual cameras, including an LED flash equipped 5-megapixel color camera with autofocus, and a VGA front-facing camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, memory expandable up to 32GB via a micro-SD slot, 512MB RAM, 512MB of internal memory, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, 1250mAh battery, and more. HTC Chacha will be shipping with Android Gingerbread OS with HTC Sense.
