There is an update remainder for HTC Droid Incredible 2 owners. A new minor and maintenance update is now coming your way. Just a couple of weeks after Android 2.3 Gingerbread update rolled out for the Verizon branded Droid Incredible 2 handset, the carrier has started has announced that it is issuing a minor firmware update for the DI2 handset. The latest firmware update, packed in 4.2MB of size, with the build number 3.02.605.1 will bring the “improved server connection fix” for email and contacts. That’s it, and this update isn’t carrying any other exciting features with it. Anyhow, it’s always good to see maintenance updates arrive to fix some bugs, no matter how minor they are, especially when those bugs affect something.
The owners of the HTC Droid Incredible 2 handsets should see the notification of the latest firmware update asking to tap “OK” button on their display panels. If you haven’t seen that notification hit your handset just yet, then you can always initiate it manually by doing so under the Android settings menu, by having a proper Wi-Fi connection. For this you need to head over to Menu –> Settings –> Software Update –> Check Now –> and tap Restart & Install button. This work should force the update to come your way, and the update downloading and installation process should start now. After the completion of installation of the update, the software version will be shown as HTC_ADR6350_3.02.605.1.
