The big box retailer Best Buy has officially confirmed that it is bringing the White edition of the HTC Droid Incredible 2 handset. Verizon branded HTC Droid Incredible 2 White handset will be hitting the Best Buy stores on August 21st for $149.99 on a new two-year contract with the carrier. Best Buy is the exclusive retail channel for the white edition of the HTC Droid Incredible 2 handset.
HTC Droid Incredible 2 sports a 4-inch 480 X 800 capacitive touchscreen display, backed up by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, an 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash capable of recording 720p HD video, 1.3 megapixel front camera for video calling, 768MB RAM, 1.1GB ROM, 1GB internal memory, 16GB micro-SD card included, 3G Mobile Hotspot capability, DLNA capability, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and powered by a 1450mAh battery.
Verizon has already upgraded the Droid Incredible 2 handset with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. But, the white edition is still running with the out-dated Android 2.2 Froyo OS. Hopefully, the white edition will get updated to Gingerbread version very soon.
