Late yesterday, we’ve reported that the Gingerbread update would be rolled out on June 3rd. Now the HTC EVO 4G owners are started getting the Android Gingerbread update on their handsets, and the update is bearing the model number as 4.22.651.2. The update will include a number of bug fixes, boost up to Gingerbread. Users will get the ability to sync multiple Gmail accounts, display email attachments in the email client and the update also fixes, infamous Android SMS bug, and battery discharge issues. The users won’t be seeing too many differences visually after upgrading to Gingerbread update.
To download this OTA update, users need to move to Menu –> Settings –> System Update –> HTC Software Update –> Check Now –> OK –> Yes –> Finish downloading the update –> Tap Ok –> Reboot –> Done. The update will show the build number of the software as 4.22.651.2 after finishing the installation of Gingerbread update. The update is weighing at the size of 109.21 MB. Users can download the update either via Wi-Fi connection or 4G connection.
Don’t panic if you couldn’t get the Gingerbread update. Starting June 6th, you will be getting notification on your smartphone asking you to tap ‘yes’ button to update to Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread.
I cant download the new software because after download show is done the phone shows an little android with a triangle an ! In the middle of the triangle and android it wont do nothing else plz help.

you obviously have rooted your phone…you have to unroot before you can install the update. If you have not rooted it then take it to the sprint store and have them take a look.
