[Download] HTC EVO Design 4G For Sprint Gets Treated to Android 4.0.3 ICS update

A few hours ago, Sprint started pushing out the ICS update for the HTC EVO 3D handset. A new update has also been approved for the Sprint branded ageing HTC EVO Design 4G handset, bringing the log awaited Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich goodies. The software version bumps up to 3.14.651.0710RD. Here’s the full changelog of the ICS update for HTC EVO Design 4G:

• # Face Unlock feature added which lets you unlock the phone just by looking at it
  # Addition of Home Screen folders
  # Addition of Resizeable widgets
  # Addition of Launch Bar for commonly used apps
  # Add/Remove panels
• # Redesigned camera app with Scenes like Panorama, and Effects such as Vignette, Depth of Field, Vintage and Posterize
• # Web browser now lets you sync Google Chrome bookmarks, request full desktop versions of sites, see your open tabs in a new layout
• # People: browse friends, family and coworkers, see their photos in high-resolution and check their latest status updates from Google+
• # Improved keyboard with incredibly accurate typing, an inline spell checker and improved copy and paste support
• # Redesigned Gmail app that now lets you swipe between conversations to catch up quickly and search for emails even without a data connection
• # Google+ integration that lets you hangout and video chat with up to 10 friends using your front-facing camera

The ICS update for HTC EVO Design 4G also includes Sense 3.6 instead of Sense 4.0.

The update itself is 256MB and is rolling to everyone over-the-air (OTA). You can pull the update manually now by heading into Settings > System Updates > HTC software update > and hit “Check Now” button.
