We were pretty sure that Sprint was gearing up to launch the HTC EVO Design 4G handset, which would also be hitting U.S. Cellular as HTC Hero S. We’ve already seen the rendered image of this handset under the the HTC Kingdom moniker. Well, the first press shot has now been uncovered by the folks at PocketNow, but the source hasn’t provided any new information regarding this handset. For the first time, we got to see the a official press shot of the impressive Sprint branded HTC EVO Design 4G handset.
According to a leaked ROM file, this handset should be packing a 1.2GHz single-core processor, a 4-inch qHD display with 540 X 960 pixels of resolution, 768MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel primary camera with LED flash with capability to record 720p HD videos, an additional front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video chats, WiMAX 4G connectivity, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB and it will be sporting all the regular features of an Android phone. The handset will be running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS.

The launch date and the price info of the HTC EVO Design 4G handset have yet to be uncovered officially by both the manufacturer and the carrier.
