Well.. According to DigiTimes, HTC’s first ever Android tablet might be called as HTC Flyer, but not HTC Scribe, as previously bruited. HTC Flyer tablets are scheduled to begin shipping from March in the U.S. The tablets will be pre-loaded with the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread OD at the time of shipping and yah, HTC Flyer will be updated to tablet-based operating system Android 3.0 Honeycomb, at the moment it becomes available.
The details of the carrier haven’t revealed out yet, that HTC Flyer will be launched. According to sources, it could be AT&T carriers, by taking into consideration that all the other carriers in US will be selling other upcoming new tablets in the coming months. As already we know that Verizon LTE network will join the Motorola XOOM, T-Mobile’s yet-to-announced LG G-Slate 4G tablet, Dell Streak 7 and the WiMax capable BlackBerry PlayBook is going to launch through Sprint carriers.
HTC Flyer will be also released outside the US in in the second quarter of 2011 and it is being heard that HTC might unveil two more tablets with Honeycomb OS on the board at sometime in June. So it looks HTC is having full of its hands in 2011 and recently we’ve seen a Buttonless HTC handset image surfing online.
