HTC Freestyle is the newly launched budget oriented feature smartphone at CES 2011, which is expected to launch in February through AT&T carriers. HTC Freestyle is the second Brew Mobile Platform (Brew MP) smartphone following HTC Smart launched back in January 2010 by HTC.
However, This is the first of a few Brew MP quick messaging phone(QMP) models to be offered by AT&T in US. HTC Freestyle packs in fresh industrial design and is having a HVGA multi-touch capacitive touch screen, measuring 3.2 inches and a 3.2 Megapixels camera, robust Qualcomm MSM7225 processor at 528 MHz speeds, 256MB of RAM. There’s also 512MB of ROM with a micro-SD for 32GB memory expansion, Bluetooth 2.0. And the device is also having HTC Sense UI with customizable home widgets, GPS and FriendStream’s social network interface.
HTC Freestyle packs some fairly standard hardware for a feature phone. It features a full HTML browser, and operates on UMTS/HSDPA: 850/1900 MHz and EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.
All the above features don’t sound too bad for a budget phone.
