After announcing the Samsung Infuse 4G at CES 2011, AT&T has announced HTC Inspire 4G smartphone. carrying ‘4G’ in its name, the handset is not compatible with AT&T’s 4G network. Why because, it’s AT&T’s idiotic decision(or whatever) to call its HSPA+ network as 4G network. This is the reason for leading to confusions and why AT&T including ‘4G’ for its handset names. The Inspire is very reminiscent to the European version of the HTC Desire HD, but with a few extra features thrown in.
HTC Inspire 4G is the first device to land with the compatibility of next gen ‘htcsense.com’(HTC Sense UI) with cloud services, which can track your lost phone, send a command to sound an alert on the handset, and remotely wipe the phone’s data with a single command. This feature is really inspiring. The handset packs with a unibody aluminum frame and features 4.3-inch LCD capacitive touch screen and running on Android 2.2 Froyo OS, equipping with 8 Megapixels camera with dual-LED flash & HD video recording, 4GB internal storage, 8GB micro-SD card included and support for memory expansion.
