DigiTimes reported that volume production for the HTC Puccini tablet will start in June and that HTC has entered the final stages of testing for the upcoming tablet.
The 10.1″ will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 1.5GHz processor with Android Honeycomb 3.0.1 operating system. There are reports that the Puccini touchscreen input system will accept both capacitive and resistive input technologies and its touch pen will be able to work on specified software and areas and that AU Optronics will supply HTC with the 10.1″ touch panels, with Wintek as another supplier. For the Flyer 7″ panels, Cando and Wintek are the suppliers.
The HTC Puccini will be available to the end users soon after June, may be in the summer ending. The 7-inch HTC Flyer is already on sale on BestBuy but there has been no official announcement of the Puccini release date.
With the carrier already been decided as AT&T and there are possibilities of 4G network using LTE technology, what we are waiting for now is the reports of FCC filing of the HTC Puccini. Hoping it will happen this June and it will be a message of that you just need a new tablet for this summer.
