Some version of the HTC Sensation handsets have already been upgraded with the latest version of the Android OS around the world. According to a leaked roadmap of planned release/update date, the T-Mobile branded HTC Sensation 4G is looking to catch up to its global counterpart with an update to Ice Cream Sandwich build by June 16th. But, the carrier has recently updated the support documents of the handset on its website, saying that the ICS resting has completed for the HTC Sensation 4G handset and the users can expect to get the ICS update very soon.
Here’s the statement from T-Mobile:
May 2 News: The Android 4.0 (ICS) update for the HTC Sensation 4G has completed its testing process and we expect it to be available very soon. Please stay tuned for an official communication from T-Mobile regarding how and when you’ll be able to receive the update.
The update will bring the Android 4.0 ICS, as well as the HTC Sense 3.6 UI goodies for the HTC Sensation 4G handsets. The carrier hasn’t provided any additional details regarding the Android 4.0 ICS update for other Android T-Mobile branded handsets. The previous leak has also suggested that Samsung Galaxy S II will get the ICS update on May 14th, while the HTC Amaze is set to be upgraded in mid-June.
