HTC Status comes running with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, featuring a 2.6 inches of landscape screen with HVGA resolution (480×320), powered by an 800MHz processor with 512MB RAM, a QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera to record videos up to 720 x 480 pixel video, a VGA front-facing camera for video chat, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, 512MB ROM, Micro-SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, a 1250mAh battery, Android Market, plus a whole host Google and AT&T services.
HTC Status is ‘Facebook phone’ gives the users a direct connection to the social network from apps such as the address book, the camera, and the media player. It uses Facebook for HTC Sense, and the Facebook button will blink at you when there is something you can use it for. HTC Status is having a total of 40 physical keys, and four capacitive buttons on the screen.
