HTC Surround owners (for the AT&T in the USA and Deutsche Telekom in Europe), are now getting a ‘NoDo’ Windows Phone software update from the Microsoft. Just to remind you, Microsoft released ‘NoDo’ update for AT&T’s Samsung Focus and LG Quantum mobile phones just few weeks back. And the recent ‘NoDo’ updates (to bring copy / paste functionality) from the Redmond company have been associated with technical issues starting from the Samsung Omnia 7 for which Microsoft kept the update on hold later. And there also have been complaints from some of the Samsung Focus that they are unable to receive update on their phones. Microsoft has detailed that this is due to different versions of flash memory supplied with some of the Samsung Focus handsets. Microsoft says that it is currently working on resolving the issues on both the cases.
Microsoft has yesterday updated the ‘Where’s my phone update?’ page with HTC Surround update status ‘Delivering update’. If you own a HTC Surround Windows phone, plug in the device to your computer and install the NoDo update. And please note that the whole update process might actually take more than an hour to complete. If you are unsure about the update process, checkout this Windows Phone update page for help. We hope that this update will go smoothly without any glitches as was the case with recent ones.
