Good news this afternoon for owners of Verizon’s HTC Thunderbolt owners. The carrier has begun rolling out the new software update for the HTC Thunderbolt handsets. No, it’s not ICS update. Thunderbolt owners have been eagerly waiting for some Ice Cream Sandwich love since the latest Android version’s announcement in last year. The new software update bumps the software version of the handset up to v2.11.605.19 and it doesn’t bring anything major. You will see a few significant bug fixes and improvements.
Here’s the full changelog of the update v2.11.605.19:
# Device is enabled with Wireless Allerting System.
# Support for Cisco Any for better VPN functionality.
# Improved data connectivity.
# Improved device stability. So no more device resets.
# Yahoo Mail accounts will receive messages properly.
# Mobile Hotspot connectivity issues resolved.
# Incoming calls now display correct state.
