Here it is..Verizon carrier has finally announced the launching day of its first 4G LTE smartphone, HTC Thunderbolt. It will hit the Verizon stores on March 17th and it will cost you $279.99 on contract with the carrier. Consumers need to pay out another $29.99 per month to utilise the 4G LTE data plan and $39.99/month for Nationwide Talk plans. We already reported about the Wirefly’s pre-orders availability for Thunderbolt.
4G LTE network connected customers can expect download speeds of 5 – 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 – 5 Mbps. Verizon will be offering the mobile hotspot capabilities free until May 15th and customers will be required to pay $20 for 2 GB of data per month after May 15th. According to Wirefly, HTC Thunderbolt will have simultaneous voice and data capabilities, but the Skype video calling app won’t be available out of the box.
