Last year, HTC has announced that all of their handsets released after September 2011 would have unlockable bootloaders. But, they have been adding the phones to the Unlock Bootloader treatment, that released long before September. In fact, they have already announced that “We continue to work on models launched prior to September 2011”. HTC Thunderbolt and Droid Incredible 2 handsets have already received the bootloader unlocking treatment.
Today, the manufacturer has included some more handsets to the list. According to the HTCDev website, the bootloader unlock tool is compatible with the following handsets:
# HTC Area.
# HTC Droid Incredible.
# HTC Desire Z.
# HTC ChaCha.
# HTC Status.
# HTC T-Mobile Z.
If you happen to be one of owners of the aforementioned HTC handsets and want to run custom ROMs on your phones, hit up the HTCDev Website (hit the link). Why don’t you install another bootloader of your own with help of this free unlock bootloader tool?
