At Mobile World Congress event, Huawei has announced its first quad-core handset of the new Ascend D quad series of handsets. The manufacturer has announced the brand new Ascend D Quad handset and gave itself “World’s Fastest Handset” tag line. Huawei Ascend D Quad packs its own in-house smartphone processor – K3V2 clocked at 1.5GHz and it is based on a 64-bit architecture. This is the reason why because Huawei is claiming this is the fastest processor in the world right now.

Huawei Ascend D Quad XL
The manufacturer as also announced the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL handset, which has got all the same specifications and internals of the Huawei Ascend D Quad handset, but it will be equipped with 2500mAh battery to provide longer battery life. So, expect an LTE variant of the Huawei Ascend D Quad XL handset in the near future. Huawei is also planning to bring this handset with a massive 3000mAh battery in the future.

Huawei Ascend D1
Along with the Huawei Ascend D Quad and D Quad XL handset, the third brand new Huawei Ascend D1 handset has also been unveiled at the MWC event in Barcelona today.
Again, this is the same version of the Huawei Ascend D Quad handset, but it packs 1.5GHz TI OMAP dual-core chipset under the hood and this mid-range device also packs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 4.5-inch LCD+IPS 720p display, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM+microSD card slot, 8MP rear & 1.3MP front-facing cameras, 1080p HD video recording capability and there’s a 1680mAh battery to power everything.

While the Huawei Ascend D Quad handset is set to be shipped in Q2 or A3 of this year, there is no word the availability of the Huawei Ascend D1 and D Quad XL handset at the moment.
