At the same event, Huawei is also launching a couple of high-end Androids – 5-inch Ascend D2, and 6.1-inch Ascend Mate.
As you can see in the above image, the phone will be available in Black, White, Pink and Blue colors. Ascend W1 will ship with 4-inch WVGA display, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 512 megabytes RAM, a 5 megapixel camera, 4GB of native storage. On the software side, the handset is expected to ship with Protico update (build 10211 of WP8 OS) out of the box.
A few days ago, the device has got China Certification to roam over CDMA 2000 network in China. There is no word on the rest of Huawei’s Windows Phone offerings and the U.S. availability of the Huawei W1. We will find more information about it on its launch day.
