Rumours again. Late yesterday, we showed you a leaked image of iPad Mini holding by a Taiwanese celebrity, which could be a 7-incher. And now a Japanese Mac blog MacOtakara is reporting that more changes to take place in next generation iPad. Citing an anonymous Chinese source, they have stated that iPad 2 could be 3mm smaller than the current iPad model and it will measure 239mm(9.41”)x186mm(7.32”), where as original iPad measuring (242.8×189.7)mm. They are reporting that there will be no change in display size and the back side will be reportedly flat instead of convex like an iPod Touch. They are also claiming that the iPad 2 will feature a smaller bezel, and wide-range speakers for better audio quality, which is covered with metal mesh and some other slight changes can happen in the upcoming next generation iPad.
According to the report, the Ambient Light Sensor will be placed in “the upper centre of the rear panel” and has a new 3mm slim hole. As we said earlier, the fresh reports have suggested that the production has already started and Apple’s next-gen iPad is expected to begin shipping from Foxconn manufacturers in late January or February and will be ready to launch in April and it might be having Face Time feature with dual cameras, Retina display with thinner glass case, 3-axis gyroscope and an USB port.
