iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are coming in Yellow color

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in Yellow

Just a few hours ago, rumors surfaced online about the possible announcement of a new yellow color option for the iPhone 14. While these rumors were initially unconfirmed, Apple has since officially announced the release of a new yellow colorway for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, alongside several other spring-themed colors for Silicone Cases.

Starting from this Friday, customers can place an order for the new yellow iPhone 14, which features yellow aluminum sides and a yellow glass back. This color option complements the existing color options of midnight, starlight, PRODUCT(RED), blue, and purple, while the higher-end iPhone 14 Pro series remains unchanged in terms of color options.

Aside from the new color, both the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus retain their existing features, including a 6.1-inch OLED display for the iPhone 14 and a larger 6.7-inch OLED display for the iPhone 14 Plus. Powered by the A15 chip, these phones boast new features such as “Action mode” super stabilization for video recording and the fake-bokeh-effect Cinematic mode for video.

Furthermore, Apple has introduced a new Emergency SOS via Satellite feature for the iPhone 14 series, enabling owners to contact emergency services even when they are outside of regular cellular and Wi-Fi coverage. This feature is currently free for two years and is available in the US, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Additionally, Apple has announced that this feature will launch in Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Portugal later in March.

Finally, Apple has also refreshed its lineup of accessories to match the spring-themed color refresh for the iPhone lineup. Customers can now choose from a range of new spring-themed iPhone cases to complement their new yellow iPhone 14. The device will be available for sale in various configurations – 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities, starting at $799 (US) and $899 (US) respectively.

However, Apple has confirmed that there are no new color options for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The new yellow colorway is exclusively available for the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models, while the Pro series retains its existing color options.

In addition to the new yellow color option for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, Apple has also announced that four new colors will also be available for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus Silicone Cases. These new colors include Canary Yellow, Olive, Sky, and Iris, offering customers even more options to customize their device.

There have been rumors circulating that the iPhone 14 could be the last iPhone to feature the Lightning port. Apple has been transitioning towards a portless iPhone in recent years, with the introduction of MagSafe charging and the removal of the headphone jack. It’s been suggested that future iPhones could rely solely on wireless charging and data transfer, or could potentially switch to USB-C like the iPad Pro.

Recently leaked iPhone 15 series CAD renders also confirmed the existence of the USB-C port. So, it’s possible that the iPhone 15 could feature a USB-C port, but until Apple confirms this, it remains uncertain.
