The iQOO Neo 6 was released this May, and the Chinese company is allegedly working on its successor, the aptly named iQOO Neo 7. Previous rumors suggested a Dimensity 9000+ chipset for this device, and now the phone was benchmarked with this exact Mediatek platform.
The device scored 1231 points on single-core and 4251 points on multi-core. The scorecard confirms the upcoming iQOO Neo 7 will have 12GB RAM in at least one of its versions, while the previous leaks also suggested a 16GB RAM model for the device. The handset is carrying the model number V2231A and will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900+ processor with higher clock speed of 3.20GHz on the prime Cortex-X2 core.
This chipset is based on TSMC’s cutting-edge 4nm process and uses a Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex-A710 cores, and four Cortex-A510 cores, while the graphics department will be handled by Mali-G710 MC10 GPU onboard. The device benchmarked was running the latest Android 13 version, which isn’t a big surprise given that Neo 7 is the upcoming flagship series from iQOO.
A noted tipster claims that the iQOO Neo 7 series is expected to sport a Samsung-made 2K E6 AMOLED flat display that can blast up the refresh rate up to 120Hz. Inside, the device comes equipped with 16GB of RAM + 512GB of storage, while the entire device gets fueled by a massive 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging support. he vanilla model of the Neo 9 series is said to have a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 120Ghz refresh rate, and the fast charging functionality is expected to be limited at 67W.
The Neo 7 is also rumored to be offered with a triple camera unit on the back which consists a 50MP Sony IMX766V image sensor coupled with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module and a 12-megapixel portrait telephoto lens.
The tipster also confirmed that he iQOO Neo 7 will launch for the Chinese markets on 20th-21st October and it expected to be priced to be within 3,000 yuan (~ $420).
