Few hours ago, we reported that Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware for Sony Xperia S (LT26i) has been leaked. This time, we have found a leaked screenshot of Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware on Sony Xperia Z smartphone (C6603). XperiaBlog reported that the screenshot was received from an anonymous source.
From the screenshot (shown below), it has been confirmed that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update has firmware version 11.1.A.1.450 and Kernel version is 3.6.0. But the baseband version is hidden.
The Sony Xperia Z is powered by Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box. It is packed with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP camera with Exmor RS for mobile and video HDR mode, NFC functionality and more. The device also comes with a high level of dust (IP5X) and water resistance (IPX5/7) and OmniBalance design with subtly rounded edges.
It is further reported that even though the update is in the beta stage as of now, Sony is planning to roll out the update at the end of March in Europe. It is also further expected to be available very soon in other regions as well. Now, it’s time to wait for more reports.
