US Cellular has officially released the dual-screen Android smartphone LG Genesis a couple of days back, as scheduled. The device is now available via US Cellular with a price tag of $149.99, after a $100 mail-in rebate on a two-year contract with the US Cellular along with a compulsory data plan subscription. The device sports a dual-touchscreen with clamshell form factor and a full physical QWERTY keyboard.
Coming to specs, LG Genesis is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo OS running on a 1GHz Snapdragon single-core processor. The phone has two touchscreens, the outer touchscreen with a 3.5-inch display and another 3.2-inch internal display (both 800 x 480 pixels) alongside with a full QWERTY keyboard. It also has a 5 megapixel camera capable of recording video in VGA resolution, 430MB of internal memory, microSD card slot with support up to 32GB, an 8GB microSD card included in the box, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, CDMA/EVDO connectivity, A-GPS, microUSB, 3.5mm audio jack, Adobe Flash support and access to a whole host of Google services. The device is powered by a 1500mAh battery that gives a talk time of up to 2 hours 30 minutes.
