The U.S version of the LG’s first 720p HD display equipped handset, LG Nitro HD is now available to purchase from AT&T with 4G LTE capability on the board. LG Nitro HD is also knows as LG Optimus LTE. AT&T had previously announced that they would sell the LG Nitro HD for $249.99 on a two-year contract agreement. But, in select markets, AT&T is offering the handset for just $149.99.
The Nitro HD runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the future. Remaining specs are 4.5” 720p True HD IPS display with pixel density of 329 ppi, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera with LD flash & 1080p video recording, 4GB of internal memory, a 16GB MicroSD card pre-installed with scope for memory expansion up to 32GB, aGPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 1830mAh battery and much more.

LG Nitro HD comes with 4G LTE capability, as well as the HSPA capability. The handset will work on all of the 15 LTE markets available on AT&T and before the end of the year their LTE network will cover 70 million Americans.
