Heads up Korean folks. Those of you rocking the LG Optimus G handset over the South Korean networks – SK Telecom (LG-F180S), KT (LG-F180K ), and KG U+ (LG-F180L), should start checking your settings menu, if you haven’t gotten the update already. The much awaited Jelly Bean roll out confirmed by official LG Korea website. The update bring the the Android OS version up to v4.1 Jelly Bean from v4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.
It looks like the update isn’t rolling out Over-the-Air and that means the owners of the Optimus G should connect their handsets to a PC and install the new update using LG Upgrade Program.
Unfortunately, if you own a LG Optimus G handset in the United States or Europe or any other region, there’s no official word from the manufacturer on when your update to Jelly Bean will be ready. The Optimus G owners bound to AT&T and Sprint contract will have to wait probably more days/weeks to get the update. Anyhow, this rollout in Korea means that the Jelly Bean roll out for the other region model has inched a bit closer, so don’t stress if it’s not yet available to you.
