Just a few moments ago, we reported about the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update roll out for the GSM capable Samsung Galaxy Nexus phones. Another firmware update is also rolling out for the newly launched LG-made Nexus 4 and Samsung-made Google Nexus 10 tablet. The update carries the new build number JOP40C for both devices, and it also brings multiple user accounts support – it is a new feature specific for Nexus 10 and you can share your tablet with other people (ex. your family, friends) by creating additional users and they can customize with their own apps, wallpapers and etc. Each user can also adjust tablet settings. The update is also carrying the new Lockscreen widgets available for both Nexus 4 and Nexus 10.
Unfortunately, the new multi user accounts support wasn’t made available for Galaxy Nexus in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update.
Both nexus 4 and Nexus 10 devices will get Gmail, Sound search, digital clock and Calendar widgets and Nexus 4 will also get a messaging widgets in addition. users can swipe through the lockscreen to access the new widgets. When you tap on a newly added widget, it will pop up the unlock button and by unlocking the device, you will be redirected to the selected app.
owners of Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 can always check for the new update manually by going to Software Update in the Settings menu.
