Meizu’s latest flagships, the Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro, have been officially unveiled after a brief teaser back in December 2021. The devices were showcased in all their glory, and their features and specifications were finally revealed in detail. During the same event, Meizu also announced the release of the Meizu 20 Infinity, a smartphone featuring a nearly borderless display and a titanium frame on both sides.
When it comes to smartphone design, there seems to be a lack of uniqueness among the devices as they mostly vary only in size and color options. However, the Meizu 20 and 20 Pro are breaking the monotony with their ultra-slim and sleek design. The smartphones come with a flat display screen, which has a thickness of only 1.57 mm, making it one of the thinnest in the market. Additionally, both models have an ultrasonic finger scanner, which adds an extra layer of security.
One of the striking features of the Meizu 20 and 20 Pro is their asymmetrical bezels, where the bottom bezel, or the “chin,” is slightly thicker than the others, which is barely noticeable. The display screen takes up almost 94% of the front panel, providing an immersive viewing experience. This design aspect adds to the overall visual appeal of the smartphones, making them stand out from the crowd.
Both the Meizu 20 and 20 Pro have flat edges made of metal. The Pro model has a thickness of 7.8 mm and weighs 209 g, while the basic version is 7.99 mm thick and weighs 190 g. Both models have a glass back cover and feature round camera modules and a ring flash on the back. The Pro version has four camera modules, while the basic version has three. The design of the smartphones is reminiscent of a mix of the Xiaomi 13 and the Samsung Galaxy S23.
