Meizu is preparing to release a new smartphone series under the name “Meizu 20.” The company plans to unveil the lineup at an event on in the coming days. Promotional images of the Meizu 20 Pro have already been released, confirming that this device will feature Qualcomm’s latest processor. With impressive specifications, this new device appears to be encroaching on flagship territory.
There is a circulating leak on the internet that confirms the Meizu 20’s design and showcases the device from multiple angles, further verifying the previously leaked renders. The company started taking blind pre-orders for its new devices which will end on March 14th.
According to teaser posters, the Meizu 20 Pro will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It will come with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512 GB of UFS4.0 storage. It is unclear if these will be the only configurations available.
The device’s display is expected to be one of its highlights, featuring a Samsung E6 Flat AMOLED Display with a 2K resolution, 1-120 frame LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 10-bit colors, and high frequency PWM Dimming. The display can reach up to 1800 nits of brightness, and it comes equipped with an Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. The display size is not yet confirmed.
The Meizu 20 Pro ships with the latest Android 13 based Flyme OS 10 UI out of the box. Meizu has quoted a 36-month-long warranty for the device in one of its posters. The Meizu 20 Pro also boasts UWB support, enabling users to enjoy high-speed data transfer, location-based services, and precise indoor positioning.
The device has a 50-megapixel primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization, but information on the remaining sensors and the front camera is not yet available.
The Meizu 20 Pro is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging speeds and wireless charging speeds up to 50W. The device can be charged up to 80% in 30 minutes and up to 100% in 45 minutes.
