Last months, Microsoft Corp unveiled its Windows RT tablet and it also started their marketing campaign for its Microsoft Surface with a magnificent Dancing TV advertisement. Now, Microsoft has started to issue a system firmware update for Surface RT.
We can also note that Microsoft Surface tablet is running Windows RT powered by Quad-Core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor with 2GB of RAM, 0.6-inch Clear Type HD Display, 1366×768 pixels and weighs around 676 g. It includes connectivity features such as micro SD, USB 2.0, Micro HD Video, 2×2 MIMO antennae, Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 technology with battery of 31.5W-h with preloaded Office Home & Student 2013 RT, Touch Cover, Type Cover. The tablet has VaporMg Case & Stand.
The first software update for the Surface RT device appears to have improved app performance as one of the highlighted features. Tom Warren from The Verge was among the first to report on the updates. He tried to install six Windows RT updates on his Surface RT and compared the system to an unpatched one and noticed improvements in app launch times. He found on average, apps launched around two seconds faster than before. Unluckily, the updates don’t include a fix for the audio stuttering problem with Surface RT. Out of six updates, two can manage security issues with Windows RT.
Hope you can try updating your Surface soon and see if there is any difference in performance.
