Motorola is hard at work getting the next member of its stylus-equipped mid-range smartphone family ready for launch. Following on from the original Moto G Stylus released in 2020 and the Moto G Stylus 5G (2022), the next iteration in the lineup is set to be the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023). This device promises to build on the success of its predecessors by offering an impressive set of features.
Back in February, we caught a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming device through initial renders. However, to further whet the appetite of Motorola enthusiasts, the highly respected leakster Evan Blass, popularly known as @evleaks, has released four brand new, official-looking renders that showcase the smartphone in all its glory. The images display the device in two distinct colorways and give us an idea of the device’s design and aesthetic appeal.
While not much is known about the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) yet, these renders indicate that Motorola has given special attention to the phone’s appearance. The smartphone appears sleek and modern, with clean lines and smooth edges. The stylus is neatly tucked away into the phone’s body, providing a streamlined look.
Upon closer inspection of the official-looking renders, we can discern some of the key specifications of the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023). Notably, the phone is set to feature a dual-camera system on the rear, with the primary shooter boasting an impressive 50 MP resolution. On the front, there is a centered hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. Unfortunately, the phone’s bottom bezel is significantly thicker than the rest, which is a common design choice for many mid-range Android devices.
From the latest official-looking renders of the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023), it is apparent that there are some noticeable design changes when compared to its predecessor. One of the most significant differences is the reduction in the number of cameras on the rear of the device. The previous year’s model featured a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. However, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) appears to have only two cameras on the rear, and it’s likely that Motorola has removed the depth sensor altogether.
Taking a closer look at the bottom of the phone, we can see that it is incredibly crowded with various ports and holes. Alongside the 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C port, there is also a mic hole, a speaker, and the stylus. It is clear that Motorola has made a conscious effort to retain the stylus functionality, and its placement at the bottom of the phone is convenient for easy access.
According to past rumors and leaks, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) is expected to come with 4 to 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, providing ample space for users to store all their apps, photos, and videos. The phone is also likely to run on Android 13, the latest operating system from Google that promises improved performance, enhanced security, and a range of new features.
Overall, the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) seems to be shaping up as a powerful and versatile mid-range device that prioritizes stylus functionality and advanced camera capabilities. We look forward to learning more about this exciting phone in the coming months.
