We’ve been seeing the live pictures of an upcoming Motorola handset for a while now. This was looking similar to the original Motorola Atrix and was said to be having 720p HD display, 4G LTE connectivity for AT&T. It has now been confirmed that the phone will be called as Motorola Atrix 2, bearing the codename, “Edison”. The source however hasn’t confirmed the rumored LTE and 720p HD display features of the phone. The folks over ThisIsMyNext website have come with the original press shots, technical specifications of the unannounced Motorola Atrix 2 handset. According to the source, the following features will power the Motorola Atrix 2:

# 4.3″ qHD 960 x 540 resolution display.
# Dual-core 1 GHz TI OMAP4 processor with 1GB of RAM.
# 8GB of internal storage (2GB micro-SD included).

So, it has been confirmed that the Motorola Atrix 2 apparently won’t be an LTE device like its predecessor. Press shots of the Motorola Atrix 2 handset are sporting the AT&T logo and it will come with Webtop support via the Lapdock 100. There might be a cable attaching to the phone for the connection rather than docking the handset, instead of the conventional “snap-in” method.
