As we touted earlier about Motorola Citrus(aka Ciena) to hit Verizon soon, it is official now, One of the Low-Budget Android OS powered mobiles, the Motorola Citrus is going to release on Verizon Wireless carrier officially with a model name Motorola WX445 Ciena.
This new Entry level Citrus candybar has been making news since July. Motorola Citrus runs on Android 2.1 OS Eclair(which is a bit old at present), with 528MHz Qualcomm processor with BACKTRAK & a MOTOBLUR-inspired UI in curved design. But according to sources,Citrus may be upgraded with Android 2.2 OS ( Froyo) soon.
Motorola Ciena features 3.0” QVGA TFT Capacitive Touch, On screen Qwerty keyboard, 3 megapixel fixed focus camera with digital zoom, 528 MHz Qualcomm processor with 256 MB RAM & 512 MB ROM, 100 MB memory of user built-in storage with 2GB microSD card inserted and microSD card slot for 32GB expansion, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G,CDMA 1X/ EV-DO Rev 0 connectivity.
Cheapest Android powered Motorola Citrus made from 25-percent post-consumer recycled plastic, and is PVC & BFR free. So there’s a little green halo around it too.

Verizon has liberally preloaded with Bing search & Bing maps over the Citrus, and it also has a ‘BackTrack’ trackpad on the back of the smartphone for easier navigation, which is quite similar to the previous releases Motorola BackFlip & Motorola Charm over T-mobile.
Motorola Citrus comes with seven home screen panels that can be tailored with an array of available shortcuts, applications and pre-loaded widgets such as sticky notes, weather, messages and calendar.

Motorola Citrus will be launching over Verizon Wireless carriers in Q4 of this year 2010. Pricing info is not known yet.
