A few days ago, we reported that Verizon is rolling out a new software update of the Motorola Droid X handset for the SoakTest members out there, bumping up the software version up to 4.5.621. According to the reports, the update is now rolling out for everyone, though the update is still listed as “coming soon” on the Verizon support webpage of the Motorola Droid X handset. The updates is bringing various stability and bug fixes and a lot of enhancements for the Droid X handset.
Here is the full changelog of the 4.5.261 software update for the Motorola Droid X handset:

The OTA update process is being pushed to every Droid X owner and should make its way to all users very soon. If you want to force the 15.2MB update manually, you could always go to Menu –> Settings –> About Phone –> System Updates –> If you found the update –> Tap Download button –> Let the downloading process finishes –> now hit the Install Now button when prompted –> Device Reboots –> Follow the on-screen instructions and let it finish installation process. The software version should be shown as 4.5.621.MB810.Verizon.en.US after finishing the installation process successfully.
