Motorola recently launched its new flagship handset Motorola Edge 30 Ultra in last month. The same handset has been on sale exclusively in China since August 22nd. Edge 30 Ultra is the global version of the China-exclusive Moto X30 Pro and it is now available in global markets outside china.
The most eye-catching part of the Edge 30 Ultra is its 200MP main camera, built with a Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor. This HP1 sensor can capture 200MP images in its native resolution. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra is also expected to come with a 200MP sensor underneath it. This is the first 200MP camera phone in the world.
Edge 30 Ultra also carries a 50MP ultra-wide unit, as well as a 12MP telephoto camera, while you can take selfies with the front-facing 60MP camera. It also packs 6.67-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080) plastic-OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and 50W wireless and 125W wired charging support for the 4,500mAh battery.
Along with the Edge 30 Ultra, Motorola has also launched Edge 30 Fusion and Edge 30 Neo handsets. Edge 30 Fusion sports a 6.5-inches AMOLED FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 50MP f/1.8 main camera, a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide unit, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera. 32MP f/2.5 front-facing camera, octa-core Snapdragon 888+ processor, up to 12GB of RAM, 4,400mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging to enable 0 to 50% charge time in just 10 minutes.
The Motorola Edge 30 Neo is the low-end version in this series. You will get 6.28-inch pOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, octa-core Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, 64MP + 13MP dual camera setup on the back, 32MP sensor on the front to take selfies, 4,020mAh battery, with support for 68W fast wired charging. All the handsets in this series will ship with Android 12 OS out of the box.
Price & Availability
The high-end Motorola Edge 30 Ultra sells at €900 (EU) and £750 (UK) in Interstellar Black and Starlight White colors. Motorola Edge 30 Fusion is the mid-ranger in this lineup which costs €600 and £500 across the EU and the UK, respectively in Cosmic Grey, Aurora White, Solar Gold, and Neptune Blue (vegan leather) colors. Motorola Edge 30 Neo is priced at €370/£350 for EU/UK with the choice between Aqua Foam and Black Onyx colors.
