It was just two day ago, we were talking about the Motorola Droid Bionic being delayed till summer to come up as a much improved spec’d piece. Here is another bad news for the Motorola fans. Motorola Xoom 4G LTE upgrade also has been delayed until summer. Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has confirmed it during the company’s Q1 earnings conference that was held recently and he also made it clear that the delay is due to the software performance problems that are related to LTE. With Motorola Droid Bionic also being pushed till summer, we can expect both to happen around the same time in summer.
And for the Motorola Xoom fans, who were worried about the sales figures of the HoneyComb tablet, Motorola has said that it was able to sell as many as 250,000 tablets in the Q1 of 2011 and it could generate revenues around $3 billion. This means a straight 22% upward rise from what the company had seen inn Q1 of 2010. Earnings from mobile devices were too on the rise and ended up at 30% rise with 9.1 million units sold. These definitely are impressive figures, aren’t they?
