If everything goes well according to the Verizon’s plans, we will see both the Motorola Xoom 4G LTE and the new Motorola Droid 3 handset will be launching at the same time. Verizon has recently added the both these devices in its MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) list, hinting us that Big Red has scheduled the launch of these both devices very soon. Recently, we told you about a mysterious Honeycomb tablet that was spotted in the latest Verizon ad, which was first made private by the carrier and then released again. We couldn’t trace out if this is the new Motorola Xoom 4G LTE tablet or not. We can say that Verizon will be soon asking the owners of the Motorola Xoom 3G tablet editions to send their tablets for the 4G LTE upgrade process, and most likely the new Xoom tablets will ship with LTE built under the hood. You might be aware of that a few days back, Motorola accidentally sent out a 4G upgrade notifications to the existing Xoom tablet owners.
Coming to Motorola Droid 3, we are very familiar with this handset, which is another handset joining the Droid handsets lineup adding better improved hardware and high-end specifications, and this handset has just recently launched officially in China under Motorola Milestone 3 moniker. We are believing that Motorola Droid 3 should be hitting the U.S. markets on July 7th.
Motorola Droid 3 has got a new 5-row sliding-out QWERTY keyboard, dual-core processor, boasting a bigger 4-inch qHD screen with 960 x 540 pixel of resolution, an 8MP rear facing camera with 1080p video recording capability, front-facing shooter, 16GB internal storage, micro-SD card slot support for memory expansion up to 32GB, and all other regular features. Droid 3 will be shipping with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
