Are you rocking the Verizon branded 4G LTE based Motorola Xoom tablet? Then, it’s time to start hitting that software update button. Verizon is set to roll out a new firmware update for its Motorola Xoom LTE devices. Unfortunately, this update isn’t going to bump the Xoom’s Android version to Ice Cream Sandwich build. The Wi-Fi edition of the Xoom has already been upgraded to Android ICS OS IML77. But, Verizon has yet to come up with an exact timeframe of ICS update for its LTE capable Xoom. The new software update for LTE Xoom brings the new software version HLK75H. It’s just minor update carrying a bug fix. The change log of the new HLK75H software update:
# Addition of the Dual International Mobile Subscriber Identities (IMSI) to enhance international travel for mobile users.
# Data connectivity will properly restore after disabling Airplane Mode.
Verizon has noted on its website that the update is coming soon. But, like all OTA updates, you can head into Settings –> About Tablet –> System Firmware Update to check the update manually.
